De Wandelaar plot

The young adult Daantje retreats to a remote forest in search of the healing power of nature. As an inexperienced city dweller, he quickly discovers that the solitary outdoor life offers him less freedom than expected. His attempt to escape society takes a terrifying turn when he begins to suspect he isn't alone. As Daantje feels increasingly small in the immense forest, his longing for an escape grows. But where will it ultimately lead him?
