Das Kloster Bleibt im Dorf plot
Bishop Rentschler has decided to sell the women's monastery. The abbess agrees to the sale, but novice Ruth is angry at this decision. The Bittner couple, who run the village shop, are also shocked by the news. In addition, the couple is concerned about the abbess, who suffers from dementia. Because the bishop has to deal with letters of protest, he decides to send a mediator to the village: psychologist Ulrike Purscheck. She wants to make the nuns realize that they have to let go of the old, but that is not immediately well received. The nuns want to do everything they can to save their monastery.
