Dad and Dave Come to Town plot

"What This Country Needs Is A Darn Good LAUGH!"

Bill Ryan wants to marry Sarah Rudd, daughter of farmer Dad Rudd, but she wants nothing to do with the Ryans. The old Mr. Ryan has been harassing him for years to buy a piece of land from him. Then Dad Rudd receives the news of the death of his brother, whom he has not seen in 20 years. He inherits a shop for expensive women's clothing. The family therefore moves to the city. However, the store is running badly due to a corrupt manager, who conspires with the competition. Dad Rudd therefore appoints his oldest daughter as manager.
