Crime on Their Hands plot

"The Stooges are furniture upholsterers seeking to be reporters. They investigate a diamond theft and end up solving the case."

The Stooges work as janitors in a newspaper editor. When an anonymous tip comes in about the upcoming theft of a famous diamond, the trio decide to become reporters themselves. They manage to find the diamond, but Shemp accidentally eats it.
