Coup! plot

During the Spanish flu in the year 1918, a journalist and his wife retire to their estate on the coast. They hire a mysterious swindler who will cook for them. When the flu makes its way to their island, the family and staff are cut off from the outside world. The new chef takes this opportunity to turn his colleagues against their boss. He suspects that the power grab is part of a sinister plan and a power war breaks out.
