Cocoanut Grove plot
"High Riding Romance ! - At The Rendezvous of the Stars !"
Johnny Prentice, the leader of an amateur band, goes to the 'Cocoanut Grove' nightclub for a very important audition. Johnny is joined by his foster son and talented drummer Half-Pint. Linda Rodgers joins the troupe, ostensibly as a Half-Pint mentrix, but in fact she is an ambitious singer. The 'Cocoanut Grove' also features the 'Royal Hawaiian' orchestra conducted by Hula Harry, as well as the comedian Joe De Lemma, the funny 'Yacht Club Boys', the strange noise maker Bibb Tucker and the conductor Dixie.
