Chronically Metropolitan plot
Fenton, a budding novelist, returns unannounced to New York to reunite with his now engaged ex-girlfriend Jessie. During the time, he also reconnects with his parents. His father Christopher is a successful writer and his mother Diane is at a breaking point with her marriage and life. When his father is involved in a car accident, he is forced to take care of the family.
