The snobbish and self-righteous rich kid Nathanial accidentally ends up on a dilapidated fishing boat instead of a luxurious cruise ship. The crew, a bunch of old sea creatures, treat Nathanial like a cabin boy, much to his indignation. An adventurous journey across the Pacific Ocean follows in which they are confronted with various bizarre creatures and curious phenomena.
