Back to the Beach plot

Big Kahuna and Annette are married. They live in Ohio where Big Kahuna sells cars on television and Annette plays the housewife. They have two children: a daughter who lives in Malibu and son Bobby, a punk who takes every opportunity to ridicule his parents' lifestyle. The trio takes a trip to Hawaii and makes a stopover in Malibu where Big Kahuna finds out that his daughter is hanging out with a beach boy. He meets an old flame on the beach, much to his wife's dismay. And it comes to a confrontation between surfing punks and a group of well-oiled surf boys.
