Bab's Diary plot

"Not To Like Her In This Picture Is Not To Be Human"

When Bab returns home from boarding school for the Christmas holidays, she is treated like a little girl while the family focuses on the upcoming wedding of her older sister Leila to Carter Brooks. To remedy the situation, Bab seizes on a photo of a matinee idol and invents her own suitor, Harold Valentine. Brooks recognizes the photo and convinces the actor to introduce himself to Bab as Harold Valentine.
