Cookie is a single mother in a middle-class family in the Philippines. She bones fishing as a profession and finds the American Matthew on the internet. They are tracked and filmed as a 'success story' by the dating site they used. When Matthew visits the Philippines and undergoes the strange customs and Cookie's strange family, he wants to make sure that she and her son can emigrate to the United States.
