"In 1965 everyone was dreaming of California..."

Sandy has reached the age where her friends are starting to get married and she is slowly starting to grow up. Feeling alone and abandoned, she sees college as a last resort before actually having to step into adult life. She travels to Portland, America with her friends Julie, Lizzie and Thelma to attend her cousin Butch's wedding. When the wedding is over, they each go their separate ways and find themselves in a life full of romance, danger and sadness.
