Walter is the beloved head of an African-American family. He asks his relatives for a special gift during the Christmas season. He wants them all to get along decently and that there won't be any fights this year. If they make his wish come true and can live under one roof for five days without a mess, it will be a true miracle.

Still a very nice and warm atmospheric film! 
The actors also do a great job together and the joy of playing bursts out of your screen.
The drama elements have been subtly added into the mix and the first hour in particular has a wonderful pace, it goes in the expected "Christmas movie" direction, but that's why it's a Christmas movie, right? 
Nice interpretation of a similar story that has often been filmed!
