Al-Kompars plot

Salem (Bassam Kousa) is a shy, stuttering bachelor with limited social skills who is part of a theater troupe when he’s not working at his gas station. Nada (Samar Samy) is a good-natured widow and factory worker whom he’s been courting for years. When they finally decide to go to his friend’s apartment to consummate their affair, it’s hard for either of them to relax. But Nada’s gentle nature draws Salem out into the world, allowing him to express himself in ways he never has before.
