Scottie Olson goes in search of purpose in life for the umpteenth time. This time, he joins a television dating program in the hope of winning a woman's heart. When his father suddenly dies, Scottie is forced to quit the dating program. He reconnects with his estranged sister Kate, who has long cared for their father.
