A Statement plot

In October 1980, environmental activists, scientists, and American policymakers gathered in a hotel in Florida to discuss the dangers of carbon dioxide emissions and rising temperatures. They wanted to draft a declaration with recommendations for Congress to address the looming climate change. However, it soon proved difficult to agree on the precise wording.
