A Friend of Dorothy plot

Dorothy is a lonely widow. Her body is deteriorating, but her mind remains razor-sharp. When 17-year-old JJ kicks his soccer ball into her yard, he turns her routine of pills, chews, and crossword puzzles upside down. An unlikely friendship blossoms, and though their worlds are miles apart, they discover they have more in common than they ever imagined.
