"Tame a lion. Get shot out of a cannon. Wash an elephant. Jerrico will do anything to become a circus clown."
The couple plays two soldiers who go to work at the circus after their military service. Jerry (Lewis) has always dreamed of becoming a clown, but the clown on the job, the ever-drunk Puffo (Sheldon) won't budge. Pete (Martin) stays with the circus mainly because of the arrogant trapeze worker (Gabor) and the beautiful owner (Dru).
