This is the story of the Russian ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev. In 1961 he fled to the West, and that would drastically change not only his own life, but also that of his entourage. The documentary mainly consists of testimonies from people close to Rudolf, including ballerina Alla Osipenko and soloist Sergei Vikulov. With Bolshoy ballet star Artem Ovcharenko in the role of Nureyev.
