Molière plot
Everyone knows the name Molière, that he was one of the greatest playwrights in the world, we all know. But that his real name was Jean-Baptiste Poquelin is another story. As the child of a successful tapestry maker living in Paris, whose wife had died when Jean-Baptiste was still a small child, he roamed the streets a lot. There he became acquainted with the street performers and the most diverse forms of entertainment and theater. When Jean-Baptiste joins one of those groups, he travels all over France and really gets to know his own country. A very different person, he returns to Paris where he quickly finds himself in the favor of Louis XIV. Together with Jean-Baptiste Lully from Italy, he forms a perfect duo. Molière the lyrics and Lully the music. However, when Lully seizes power and does everything alone from now on, the world collapses for Molière.
