True North plot
The life of an ordinary family in Pyongyang is disrupted when Yo-han’s father disappears and their mother is unable to tell her son and his younger sister Mi-hee what happened to him. A few days later, the family is arrested and taken to a notorious political prison camp. Their father is apparently an enemy of the state, despite his seemingly exemplary service record. However, he is in a different camp than the rest of the family, so they are left to fend for themselves. Now the family must learn how to survive the harsh conditions and find meaning in their lives.
