Once upon a time there was a place called EggTown where the inhabitants, families of rabbits and chickens, lived together peacefully. But from behind the green meadows surrounding the village, the inhabitants' doings were spied on by the Take-Its, mysterious creatures who live hidden in the swamps of the Enchanted River. The Take-Its have a bad reputation for stealing things from others, and they are out to get the village's great treasure, the Easter Eggs. Fortunately, one of the villagers keeps watch day and night from the terrace of his house, nestled in a tree. But despite his vigilance, the Take-Its succeed in their evil plan and make off with the famous Easter eggs. The epitome of misfortune is that the theft coincides with the day the village is getting ready to celebrate Egg Day! A group of brave villagers decide to defy all dangers and retrieve the village's treasure.
