The Croods plot
"Meet the first modern family."
A violent earthquake forces caveman Grug and his family to leave their familiar surroundings. Although a bit busy especially in the beginning, the first Croods is very nice and beautifully made. The colors popped off. I am also a fan of this kind of drawing with images that look as good as real. The story is quite original and never seen before. The flight is beautifully portrayed and the character roles are very entertaining. That grandmother, for example, who walked straight out of Paulus the Boskabouter. Or the little pain-quick uk. They all got a nice role. Only found the saber-toothed tigers a bit less beautiful, read what made it childish. A second part has now been made. I'll be looking at that one soon. This one also seems to be very busy, but I'm already looking forward to all the beautiful bright colors!

I thought it was pretty funny for an animated movie. Nicolas Cage together with Ryan Reynolds seems like a good combination. When in a real movie? The world is quite interesting, nobody knows what's going to happen, but that's what makes it interesting. The world is coming to an end and Grug is too clumsy to come up with ideas. Hide in a cave that's all he knows. When he comes out of his cave a world opens up and that is difficult for him. That leads to funny scenes, as is also the case in a Crocodile Dundee. Little drama at the end was well done. It did get to me, daughter-father moment. Time for part 2 right away if you ask me.
