Snubbed by a Snob plot

A young horse says hello to the little donkey Spunky. But the horse's mother pulls him away, saying that we don't deal with animals like that. Spunky makes a few more advances and eventually they start chasing, occasionally encountering a bull. The horse stops to eat lots of apples and drink far too much water, making him too bloated to move much. The two continue to anger the bull, who gives chase; Spunky rescues the foal, and they all live in harmony.
