Read or Die plot
A sinister plot is hatched and only a schoolteacher, a special agent with an affinity for literature, can stop it. She is Mrs. Yomiko Readman - better known to her colleagues in Section A of the Special Operations Library as ''Agent Paper''. Someone is in the process of acquiring some rare long-lost Beethoven manuscripts and has captured some of history's most extraordinary individuals using stolen DNA. Readman and her colleagues take on this criminal and Gennai Hiraga, a Tokugawa-era scientist, aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal, and a 19th-century entomologist named Jean-Henri Fabre in a desperate race to find the books and save the world!
