Pocahontas was a beautiful Native American princess who lived in 17th-century America with her father Powhatan. One day a boat with settlers appeared on the shore. Pocahontas fell instantly in love with their Captain John Smith and brought the men to the camp to introduce them to her father. But when one of the settlers killed an Indian, Captain Smith was blamed for his death. Pocahontas is in tears when she hears her father order that her captain be held responsible for the Indian's death. She throws herself on her lover to protect him. As a result, she is bound to him as a slave for the rest of her life.
