Saw the Dutch version and it was a nice movie. Of course fairly predictable, but this is to be expected with this kind of film.

The rabbits looked very good, I thought the 2 cats were the least successful. Furthermore, the film was not boring and the focus was more on the rabbits and less on the people.

Thomas McGregor [Domnhall Gleeson] and Bea [Rose Byrne] are now married and life has become a lot easier for Peter Rabbit [James Corden] and his family. So easy that Peter gets bored and decides to pay a visit to the city. Peter Rabbit had a thin story, now there's just an excuse to let a few rabbits walk through a city without anyone being surprised. A lot of senseless chaos is the result, but I didn't get much of it because this was so incredibly boring that I could barely keep my eyes open. And Beatrix Potter turned in her grave (again).

A family film in line with the first film. Is somewhat on par with the first film, a little less perhaps, but still entertaining to watch with your kids. Not always successful jokes here and there (the screaming of the rabbit, to name but a few), but on the other hand, there are some successful things in between (the hysterical mother, for example).

Being who you are and authenticity are central to this sequel. Fortunately, the animals remain central and Peter discovers that not all animals have the same good intentions. The setting moves from the countryside to the city, which appears to be a logical continuation. It is a bit strange that people are only now discovering that the animals can speak.

Of course you shouldn't do it for the acting that comes across as very forced. There is a very sweet sauce on the whole, even about the bad guys, so perfect for children. All animals had something, except maybe the cats…
