A Van Gogh masterpiece is up for auction at an auction house in New York. Wealthy Jirokichi Suzuki buys the painting for $300 million with the intention of getting all seven sunflower paintings. He hires seven samurai to protect these masterpieces. However Kaitou Kid tries to steal the paintings. Conan and his friends are amazed at why Kid is suddenly interested in paintings instead of the jewels he usually steals. Is this Kaitou Kid who he says he is?
