Violette is eight years old, feisty, and has a new guardian. Since her parents' death, she's been forced to live with her uncle Régis, a maintenance worker at the Palace of Versailles. He's a grumpy giant, she's a stubborn girl who refuses to speak to him and runs away whenever she can.
