Hansel and Gretel, abandoned by their parents in the woods, get trapped in the cookie house of the witch Griselda who wants to fatten them up to serve as the ingredient of a giant gingerbread. The opera of the same name and the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm were the starting point for this puppet film.
