Friends: Mononokeshima no Naki plot

According to a legend, monsters live on a certain island and this island is therefore called Monster Island. In reality, there are indeed monsters living on the island, but they are good-natured and afraid of people. Naki is a moody red gnome who doesn't get along well with the other monsters. Only the blue gnome Gunjo is his friend. One day the human child Kotake gets lost on the island. Naki decides to take care of the child.
