Dongwu Fangyan plot

The woman only speaks in voice-over and is never seen. Her story is about hardship. About a mother who died young, about a father who was sent to a farm for reform during the Cultural Revolution. About all the things the family missed. Bicycles, furniture, facades and smart interiors, but the images come from elsewhere, from photos at flea markets in China, lifestyle brochures of the time and official documentaries.
