Every superhero needs a vacation, so does Superman. Fortunately, in such a case, Krypto the Superdog, his four-legged friend, is ready to stop the crime. Nice animation movie. The story is quite fun and has an original angle. The effect has been successful. The film is full of energy and the pace is good. There is a lot of action and suspense and enough humor, with some good jokes. The film is also good for adults. 3.5

When Jor-El [Alfred Molina] and Lara ]Lena Headey] rescued their newborn son by sending him on a spacecraft toward Earth, their puppy came along to protect his tiny owner. As adults, Superman [John Krasinski] and his super dog Krypto [Dwayne Johnson] are inseparable, until Krypto realizes that Lois Lane [Olivia Wilde] could be disrupting his relationship with his owner. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor [Marc Maron] finds out how to rob Superman and Krypton of their powers. As a side effect, those powers are transferred to animals, thus opening the way for guinea pig Lulu [Kate McKinnon] and her army of hamsters. She's not the only one with special powers now, but Ace [Kevin Hart], PB [Vanessa Boyer], Merton [Natasha Lyonne] and Chip [Diego Luna] are totally incapable of using their superpowers. Krypto seems like the right person to make a superhero team out of this, but he's "not very good with others." The story isn't particularly intelligent, and the impressive voice cast disappoints (McKinnon's impersonation of Stewie Griffin in particular sounds forced), but there are plenty of nice ideas to satisfy the undemanding family movie buff, including the rise and fall of Whiskers [ Winona Bradshaw] and an amusing role by Keanu Reeves as Batman.

This was a fun animated movie. A nice fast pace and the movie looked great too. The story wasn't boring either and there was also some room for humor. The film was for young, but certainly also for old, it never became childish.
We had seen the Flemish version, but it was not disturbing.
Feel free to add another part for me. Also stayed put, because there was another after credit.
