Tillie Tompkins has taken a job as a stenographer in a company owned by Mr. Simpkins. Her boyfriend Mac also works at the firm. Tillie's utter incompetence nearly threatens the company with bankruptcy. She then goes in search of redemption and tries to turn the tide.
