Wow, I really liked the special effects!!

He gets a 2 for that alone.
Yes, the movie itself is a bit childish. Could have been a little more serious about it. Would have liked it a lot more if they had cast a boy of 18 or something like that, but hey, their choice.

I have heard 'You are the seeker' many times in this film. Too bad, I'm a little off about that. They can of course make it clear to him that he is 'the seeker', but exaggerating is also a profession.

Furthermore, after a while I became very annoyed with the protagonist. I'm not exactly sure why.. His expressions, his voice.. No, I wasn't that into him.

I really liked the scenes where the girl suddenly became old, and where the cops arrested Tom.

Final conclusion: The effects are very good, the story is a bit less. It's a shame there's a 14-year-old boy in it, otherwise it might have been a much better film.

a 3.5*

A very nice movie with a bit of darkness at times.

Bit of a Harry Potter idea but certainly not bad.

The story is nice and the title fits it perfectly.

Actors also quite nice.

3.5 star

A fantasy film for children that is beautifully shot, but has little to offer in terms of content. The plot is somewhat reminiscent of Harry Potter, because once again a child turns out to be responsible for defeating evil. Our former Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston plays a fun role as a bad guy. The story is a fairly simple good versus evil plot. The quest for the six badges (looks like pokemon) is quite disappointing when it turns out that the level of the quest does not go beyond that of toddlers. Nice to see, but a review is a waste of your time. Good acting and special effects are not enough to make this something memorable.
