The Golden Seal plot

Jim Lee, his wife Tania and their son Eric live on the remote island of Unak. Once a month Jim and Eric sail to the town of Dutch to do some shopping. Jim is bullied for claiming for seven years that he glimpsed a golden seal during a severe storm. This legendary protector of the Aleutian Islands, the original inhabitants of the archipelago, is said to have left when humans began to hunt him. Except for Jim and Eric, no one believes in the existence of the golden seal. However, during a stormy day Eric gets lost and has to take shelter for the night. Suddenly he comes face to face with the golden seal.
