The Eagle of the Sea plot
"Quaint New Orleans, swash bucklers, sturdy men of the sea-fighting ships-pirate chieftains and maid disgust, hatred, horror, then love."
The brash American pirate captain Sazarac is in love with the beautiful Louise Lestron from New Orleans. While dancing with Louise at a masquerade ball, Sazarac is recognized by General Andrew Jackson. Jackson gives Sazarac 24 hours to leave Louisiana. Months pass before Sazarac and Louise are reunited, and then only because Louise's treacherous uncle Colonel Lestron wants to use Sazarac's services in a plot to provoke war between England and Spain.
