Sometimes very fake, but is also long-winded.

There is sometimes a bright spot in the scenes.

Acting itself was still doable.

In the 1970s, a lot of disaster movies were made (I loved watching them as a kid back then) and some of them were about airplanes. This film is therefore about the beautiful Concorde, which is beautifully portrayed, especially in the beginning. Unfortunately, that is actually also the best thing about the entire film, because the rest of the backward story is little and it never gets exciting or exciting. What's really sad are the special effects (each one laughably bad to see) and the visual part in the movie, because everything just looked very fake and very cheap. The film also lasts much too long at almost two hours, making it not only a long sitting to watch this film completely, but also a painful sitting (butt and eyes). I largely solved the latter by regularly fast-forwarding the film (which is also really necessary if you don't want to hurt yourself).

The cast for this film is quite impressive, including George Kennedy (who was almost always seen in disaster films in the 1970s) as the pilot of the Concorde and the then flamboyant French Alain Delon, also as the pilot and co-pilot of Concorde. Both did creditable (not anymore) and especially veteran George Kennedy. Furthermore, our own "Emmanuelle" star Sylvia Kristel has a stupid role in this film and the same goes for Robert Wagner. Sylvia Kristel played pretty bad by the way, but she was still surpassed by the horrible looking Avery Schreiber who had many similarities with the famous porn actor Ron Jeremy.

No, you better skip this disaster film (except for the first few minutes, in which the Concorde can be seen in all its splendour), because this film is literally and figuratively nothing more than a "disaster" to watch.

Good movie from the late 70's.

Nowadays we are spoiled with better and newer film techniques.

Still, this is a good movie from that era.

5 stars from me! *****
