The City of Gold plot
Jonathan Davenport's father commits suicide. Jonathan suffers psychologically from the loss and is no longer able to run the family business. He reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Elisabeth Carlisle, who is about to leave a jungle in Peru to look for an artist. Jonathan thinks it's good for him to take a break and accompanies Elisabeth.
