Shéhérazade plot
Shéhérazade is promised to Haroun-al-Raschid, a powerful Sultan, as a gift in exchange for free passage to the Holy Land. When Renaud de Villecroix, a subordinate of the Sultan, saves her life, she falls in love with her savior. The disgruntled Sultan discovers this love affair and banishes both to the desert. When Shéhérazade and Renaud free the wounded Sultan from the enemy's hands, he plans to rehabilitate both.
