La Storia di Cino plot

In a small village in Piedmont, Italy, nine-year-old Cino lives with his siblings in extreme poverty. His parents have no choice but to lend him to a French carter who has to take him to his country. There he has to work in the meadows of the Mercantour. During his journey, Cino befriends Catlin, a girl his own age. However, it is not long before they are separated because the girl gets sick.
