Jorinde und Joringel plot

After a thirty-year war, the orphaned boy Joringel, lovingly adopted by a farming family, has to deal with looting gangs. Joringel grows up with their daughter Jorinde, but the destructive war rages on. When they reach adulthood, they fall in love with each other. Jorinde is turned into a nightingale by a fairy for protection, but when the villains attack, she disappears. Joringel goes looking for her.
