Jack Armstrong is a young gifted American scientist. He and his school friends Betty and Billy Fairfield and their small-airline owner uncle Jim Fairfield try to rescue the famous scientist Hobart Zorn, inventor of a revolutionary atomic engine, from the clutches of the criminal mastermind Blair. Blair is out for world domination. He thinks he can achieve this by means of a deadly jet, which is on board a spaceship that allows Blair to fly into the ionosphere. Their search for Zorn takes Armstrong and the three Fairfields to a remote island where they must face not only Blair's henchmen, but also an aggressive local tribe led by the fierce Princess Alura.
