Il Cavaliere del Castello Maledetto plot

Ugone imprisons his uncle, Count Oliviero, king of Valgrande, and tries to obtain a declaration from him in which he leaves all rights to his property and the throne to him. But the count refuses to sign it. Ugone then asks Isabella, Oliviero's daughter, to marry him so that he becomes heir to the throne. Meanwhile, he imposes heavy taxes on the population, who, with the support of a mysterious horseman, begin to rebel. Ugone hopes to change Isabella's feelings, but she continues to refuse him.
