Hell on Devil's Island plot
"HOTTEST EXPOSE OF THE YEAR!"
Frenchman Paul Rigaud is a former journalist who is released after being wrongfully imprisoned on the infamous Devil's Island. Exasperated by the atrocities he witnessed, Paul refuses to support Governor Renault, whose daughter Giselle is in love with him. Renault wants to close the prison and help the prisoners. Bayard, the brutal prison warden of Devil's Island, wants to make an arrangement with the wealthy Jacques Boucher to use prisoners as cheap labor on his plantation. Bayard lets inmates go into debt, which they can pay off by working on Boucher's plantation. However, Boucher makes the prisoners work in a secret gold mine. Paul and his girlfriend Lulu learn of this mine and they battle Bayard, Boucher and their henchmen.
