quite a beautiful Kate Beckinsale as the lead actress who plays a war veteran.

who masters all kinds of skills and who thus overpowers dozens.

A weak action film. The story is implausibly complex. The execution, however, is fairly standard, with a lot of action. Combined with the convoluted plot, this doesn't really work. The action scenes are rather simple and look somewhat contrived. Nunn mixes the hard-hitting action with some humor in the form of a few supposedly silly characters. But even that combination doesn't flow well. The acting is passable. In short, too many ingredients for a simple action film. 2.0
