The Viking plot

Explorer Leif Ericsson and his elated crew sail from Norway to what will later become known as Rhode Island. Helga Nilsson is the beauty on board and she has Leif, the first mate Egil the Black and the English slave Lord Alwin as regular admirers, who also compete for her. Leif continues to encounter wild adventures along the way, including an attempted mutiny, his conversion to Christianity - which his father strongly opposes - and various battles.
