The Day They Robbed America plot

During a hostage situation in a restaurant, the hostage-taker is shot and killed by Officer Robbie. However, the gangster who was shot is the son of local mob boss Martin. This Martin sends hitmen after Robbie, but they accidentally kill his father. Robbie quits his job and seeks revenge. He becomes involved in a special bank robbery.
