Supermarkt plot
The 18-year-old Willi is a boy from the street. He meets people who want to help him, but also who cheat him. When he meets Monica, he realizes that there are people who are worse off than him. He is eager to help her and plans a robbery of a supermarket money transport.

Such a typical Deutsche Krimi seems to me, just like there were several in Belgium in the 1970s. Zaman (Film, 1983) to name just one. A rather depressing Hamburg: dirty, gray and dirty. Poor bars and dirty alleys, it is Willi's habitat. Klick pulls out all the stops to emphasize the ugliness. It also immediately shows where Willi grew up and wanders around. It is not illogical that you will immediately see some kind of loser's story, an anti-hero film.
Willi does not know peace. He's always on the run. Not as explicit as in Lola Rennt (Film, 1998), but still, restless and always on guard for everyone.
He ends up in the rain from the rain. Stealing from a toilet attendant is one thing, but that's just the beginning. His destructive relationship with the whore Monika doesn't really help. It is his battle of life. Tight and free-flowing camera use. An unknown film that deserved something better than this anonymity.
