Snake Eater plot
"As dirty as Dirty Harry, as dangerous as Deliverance"
Jack Kelly (Lorenzo Lamas) used to work for a special unit under the Marines, specializing in expertly locating, overpowering and taking out targets. Because of their cunning nature they were sometimes called "Snake Eaters". Now Jack works as an undercover cop. However, he sees the city as a new jungle and often uses the same techniques as before (such as setting up all kinds of painful booby traps), which is no longer acceptable for his boss. Jack is forced to give up his quirky approach, but when his sister is kidnapped to the local swamp, he's forced to pull out his bag of tricks one last time. The 'Snake Eater' is back...

I think I saw this one on VHS a long time ago, but years later I bought the Blu-ray mediabook of ''Snake Eater'' via Amazon and I have all 3 parts nicely packaged in a box.
So I've started watching part 1 and I can't remember much of it, but I thought it was a nice film, it has enough action and some humor with the jokes it makes.
Also plenty of fist fights, shootouts and the occasional explosion.
Later he has to look for his daughter who is being held captive in a forest by a bunch of lunatics, for a moment it felt like I was watching ''Wrong Turn'' with those Hillbillies in the forest.
From there on, I found the last 45 minutes very successful, nice traps are set up and Lorenzo gets into his role well, it doesn't all go smoothly for him but he still manages to get out of it.
All in all a very entertaining action (comedy) film, looked wonderfully 80's and I am very curious if parts 2 and 3 are as good.
